November Happenings!

November has been a busy and exciting month for my students, and for me as well.  This month I held a sky watch for my students.  My uncle, an astronomy enthusiast, volunteered to come to school and show my students some planets and stars through his telescope.  With the principal's permission, I was able to have my students and their parents come back to school in the evening.  I provided the refreshments and handouts, and my uncle provided the telescope and the expertise.  Students and their parents were able to view Jupiter, the Moon, and many stars.  It was a wonderful night for everyone involved!

My brother-in-law's band Atomic Tom recently performed one of their songs on the B Train using their iPhones as instruments.  The video is getting a lot of attention and I thought I would share it here.

My First Post

Hello and welcome to Miss M's Corner!! This is my second attempt at blogging as my first blog early this week has been lost in cyberspace.  This blog is a requirement for one of my masters classes at NJCU.  I have been subscribing to blogs for a few years but never considered writing my own until now.  I am currently student teaching in Northern New Jersey in a special education middle school classroom.  I have a B.A. in History will soon have a Masters in Special Education.  I hope that you enjoy reading my blog.
